First of all, Ars Poetica is a Latin term meaning “The Art of Poetry” (see Wikipedia for more info).
Derived from the aforementioned term, is Ars Blogaetica (this is probably the first mentioning of the term, ever… do a Google search to confirm), which can be roughly translated as “The Art of Blogging” … (”blogaetica” is not actually a word in the English dictionary - I just wanted it to sound like Latin).
Why coining this term? First of all, I needed a nice “first-post title” on my blog. Second, we may think a bit beyond writing posts and moderating comments - think of the actual reason that drives a person to write on a blog.
I’ll post these days my thoughts on this topic - but only when I’ll be in a more philosophical mood.
Anyway, while this is some kind of a personal blog, you’ll feel yourself at home and you’ll certainly enjoy your stay here on DOThts if you are interested in today’s web and everything that comes with it: social services, new trends (not always good, might I say), programming, games, communication, etc.
PS: Might as well consider the above sentence to be the “Ars Blogaetica” of this blog.
Stay tuned!
